Adorable but it needed more stuffing
I bought this as a present. I figured at the price it would be cheaply made, but I was surprised at the tight stitching and quality of the baby pandas.The whole thing comes in a tight plastic bag that has had all the air sucked out and then rolled up. This makes an otherwise bulky item compact and easy to ship. The trade off of this being that no matter how much air gets pulled out, too much stuffing will hinder how compact you can make these – so after opening the toy up, fluffing it up, and allowing it to inflate, I still found the mama panda looked a little deflated. The baby pandas looked fine, and luckily the inside pouch where they are stored had a very thick loose stitching on one side that was easy to undo and add more stuffing. I quickly stitched it back together and it looked perfect. The whole process took less than 10 minutes.I understand why the toy is under stuffed – for the price, and knowing that this is coming from China, it’s what I expected. I still hoped for as much stuffing as you see in the photos, but I wasn’t surprised.Overall it’s adorable, and if you have some extra stuffing and the most basic of sewing skills it can quickly look exactly like the pics, but even if you don’t it’s still well put together, very soft, and close enough to the pics.
