My 6-Year-Old Now Knows Where His Spleen Is (And Reminds Me Constantly)
If youâve ever wanted your child to casually drop the word âesophagusâ into dinner conversation, this is the book for you.I bought this busy book for my 6-year-old because I figured it was time he learned thereâs more to the human body than just boogers and bellybuttons. Not only did this book deliver â itâs now the busiest thing in our household (second only to my childâs bladder, apparently).Itâs colorful, interactive, and shockingly durable â which is important because itâs been dropped, stepped on, and once, horrifyingly, used as a makeshift plate for chicken nuggets (donât worry, it wiped clean like a champ). The flaps and pop-ups kept my son entertained for longer than any screen â and he now proudly points to his kidneys and announces, âThese are my filters!â like a very small, slightly alarming doctor.Weâve had real conversations about the heart, lungs, and even digestion â and by âreal,â I mean he once compared the large intestine to a âweird slide for poop.â Science! If you’re looking for something educational, engaging, and just the right amount of gross to make it kid-approved, this book is a must. Bonus: I now have a tiny personal trainer who yells âUse your muscles!â when I reach for the remote.Highly recommend â 10/10, would let my kid educate strangers about the pancreas again.

Recommend
I have a 6 year old and a 10 year old. They both will spend quite a bit of time on this book. They love it and I like that they are learning while playing. The pictures are nice and clear. Seems durable so far and it was a great value! Good size too. Not too big so you can keep it in the car for long car rides

Amazing busy book
It was a great book with many educational pages. My daughter loved setting it up and using it. It was a decent size and kept her entertained. Easy enough for her to use and figure out on her own. Great picture quality as well

Great Educational Tool
This book is pretty cool! My kids are both super interested and already want to use it every day.My only complaint is that one page is missing. All other pages are there except page 5

Time consuming but worth it
My son loved the toy that came with it more than the book ð he does enjoy the book though. It does take about an hour just to put the Velcro stickers on the pages and cards but once I did that part we sat down and he was excited to learn whatâs under all his skin. Heâs autistic so this was a great way to show him through visual prompts.

Missing Pages
Our toddler loves learning and we thought this body book would be wonderful for her. It arrived with the box wrapped in plastic which confirmed it was new and unused. I love that it came with a storage bag for all the pieces and the book to fit into. I did not realize that the velcro would come on sheets, so it took a good half hour to stick all the velcro to both the pieces and the corresponding spots throughout the pages. The pieces came in a cardboard sheet and you have to pop them all out; however, it was almost too easy, as Iâd pick up a sheet and pieces would just fall right out and Iâd have to keep looking for them within the blanket/couch cushions, and under the couch.I managed to get all the pieces out and add velcro to the back of them. Then, I started adding the transparent velcro stickers in the book. After page 10, I noticed pages 11 and 12 are both missing, as page 13 was the next one. I made sure the pages werenât just stuck together. Since the box arrived in plastic, I know the book was just defectively manufactured. Iâve ordered a replacement and hope it will have pages 11 and 12 so that I can just take them out and put them in the book we currently have, as I do not want to go through and put all the velcro dots on the first 10 pages of a new book. Also, the photo made it appear as if the book stands somehow and it does not. Weâve already given our daughter the book, so we canât ungift it, but Iâm slightly disappointed with this purchase so far.
