Screen free FUN!
I bought the Ultimate Activity Book for Kids Ages 8-12 for one of my students who had been struggling with too much screen time and lacking focus and vocabulary development. This purchase was more than worth it! The book has a ton of great activities like crosswords, word searches, mazes and connect-the-dots. This variety is perfect for keeping their little brains engaged, especially since theyâre so used to the constant ping-pong stimulation of streaming and social media. It kept my student engaged and they really enjoyed the themes. I liked that it helped build and reinforce their vocabulary in different subjects like historical landmarks, space, and music. The instructions are clear, and it was easy for them to follow without me having to give too much guidance or instruction. Itâs hard to find activities that kids will do that donât involve some sort of electronic device. And itâs even more difficult to find something that entertains while also educating. With so many students falling behind on their educational metrics, Iâm glad there are still tools like this available to help bridge the gaps in learning. My student had so much fun doing these activities and they also gained a sense of accomplishment and increased confidence with every word search and crossword they finished. It was such a joy to watch this process! If youâre looking for a thoughtful gift or educational tool for kids then, get this activity book, you wonât regret it!

Hats off to the creator of this one
I will admit that I was leary getting this one. I have always prided my family on being less “plugged in” than most but over the last few months things have been slowly changing. My 12 yo son has suddenly taken to the online world and I was looking for any way to get him off the computer and back to the real world. Taking him places and trying to do things that I thought he would like was failing miserably because weather and air quality for a kid with asthma really do not work. I remembered a year or so back he liked word searches and figured I would try this out. My 8yo was already waiting for it to arrive since it was good for both of them. Despite the arguments over who got to do what pages – this was a winner. Not only did my 12yo NOT ask for internet time but my 8 yo vocabulary improved and his spelling also started to improve over the last 3 days. I am hoping that this will continue and I am already looking for other books by this creator as these are a huge hit in my house.

A fun activity book for kids.
The activity book presented has several notably good points. It is not pointlessly gendered, a more positive trend of the late 2010s and early 2020s. The paper is of a good enough quality, especially when compared to other books of a similar nature. More often than not, childrenâs activity books use thin and nondurable paper. The paper in this book looks like it could stand up to a couple of erasing attempts. Another benefit the book has is its variety of mini-projects. Each segment of the book has a different theme ranging from sea animals to space. Each child has different interests, so the variety of subjects helps keep the interests of many instead of a few.One of the more notable issues is the repetitive nature of the formatting. The formatting falls into the pattern of finding the word, finishing the maze, completing the crossword, and connecting the dots. While soothing to some, others will lose interest even with the variety of topics within each segment. While the paper is stronger than most it still has the potential to rip under the heavy hand of a child or too many corrections with an erasure.4.5 out of 5 stars

Great! Slightly odd in formatting on left-hand pages.
This is a fantastic activity book! I appreciated the instruction pages at the beginning, in case kids are not familiar with each kind of puzzle. The book is printed well and appears to be error-free. It includes lots of different topics and each topic has a corresponding crossword, connect-the-dots, word search, and maze.However, I think the crossword puzzles (which appear to introduce the topic) and word searches should be on right-hand pages, rather than solely on the left. I would think a connect-the-dots activity is probably a little easier being on a left-hand page. A kid will need to crease the book to help it stay flat as he/she completes the left-hand crosswords/word search, and since those take a bit of time, a right-hand page would be less frustrating. Plus, having the topic heading at the top of a right-hand page is often more common.Regardless, the activities are great and will easily provide hours of screen-free entertainment.

I recently bought the Ultimate Activity Book for Kids Ages 8-12 as a gift for my 10-year-old niece, and it was an absolute hit! Sheâs always been a fan of puzzles and challenges, so this book was right up her alley. From the moment she opened it, she couldnât wait to dive in.The book offers a fantastic variety of activities, including mazes, dot-to-dot drawings, word searches, and crossword puzzles. Each page is thoughtfully designed to be both engaging and age-appropriate.
