Unicorns Are Great But Mommies Are Better
I Loved this book. We as parents, or I as a parent, has said, “Be careful what you wish for!”. Here it is. Sometimes kids have a bit to much energy for the wrong thing just as Ted. This mommy shows her frustration in always, as Ted puts it, being mad all the time. Mom’s can only stretch so far. Towards the end of the book we find out just how, Mommy is mean All the time, she really is.Ted goes to sleep one night and wishes his mom was a unicorn. He wakes to a rainbow and a dream. Mom IS a unicorn. A beautiful one at that. They do things all day together. What they do is up to you to find out. Reading is fun because you get to know if Ted wants his mom to stay a unicorn forever. Good luck on your journey with Ted and remember to give your mommy or daddy a hug.I found this book on a website for free for an honest review.

A fun and silly book with the addition of a subtly sweet lesson.
Purchased this book for my granddaughter who loves unicorns. She is 6 and loves books. Turns out that her 5 year old brother loves this book as well. Itâs a cute and silly story of a child who believes their mother is grouchy too often, so he wishes that his mother would turn into a playful unicorn. When his wish comes true, after a day of fun and games, he realizes how much he misses his mother and realizes he wants her back. So happy to have his mother return, he then begins to help with cleaning up after himself, being helpful and being good. He then begins to see the correlation between his actions and his mothers mood as she no longer has to work so hard to get him to be helpful. This results in their having much more fun and him realizing how much he loves his mother. This is a fun quick read with a lesson tucked inside. Itâs a great addition to the other Unicorn books in this series.

A big hit instantly!
I bought this book to read to my grandsons ages 6 & 3 during their recent stay. I was not sure they would warm up a unicorn as one of the main characters. Boy was I wrong! I had bought 3 other books, but they asked me reread this book again and again. The next day I ordered the book about Ted and Unicorn and slime. It was an instant hit! I promised my grandsons I would order the 3rd book in the series and send it to their home. Being a good grandma, the book will be on the way tonight. As for the other 3 books, I sent them home with my daughter. These books are a wonderful way to introduce life lessons interlaced in the fun of the story. I encourage you buy any one of these books or the complete series.

Could have gone further
This book was cute but I feel like it missed the opportunity to go into WHY mom always seemed cranky. Like when the unicorn was there, there was no food to eat or Ted didnât have clothes to wear or their bed was full of toys so they couldnât go to sleep. Instead Ted just randomly misses mom and the story never addresses the grumpiness.

A unicorn book with a male main character!
My 4 year old nephew LOVES unicorns but it’s so hard to find unicorn books that don’t feature pink princesses. It’s also super cute and a good message. So excited to give this to him at Christmas (along with his new unicorn lamp)!

Very good
This is super funny with a heartwarming plot and moral, especially loved the look and find activity! The doodle like art style is also an extra point to the funny-o-meter

This is a cute story of a baby giraffe and his mom. Like all kids baby giraffe thinks otherwise when his mom shouted because of the mess he created. While reading the book with my son,, he laughed at many instances and quickly relate himself and said,”His mom is like baby giraffe’s mom”I highly recommend this book to all kids for the great lesson at the end of the book and for parents as they will surely relate with the story.
