Creating an Heirloom
I purchased this book for a neighbor when her grandfather passed away. She had begun spending more time with her grandmother and was looking for ways to fill that time. Well, this book did not only pass time, but filled it with love, and memories, and laughter, and even a few tears. What a wonderful gift, that will become a family heirloom. The book comes in hard or soft cover, and is filled with prompts and questions, and story starters. Complete it any way you want, skip around, glue an envelope to to front cover and add pictures, have different family members participate in eliciting stories from “grandma.” Completing this book with your loved one will be a bonding experience in itself, but to have all those stories and all that wisdom written down in a real book, that is a priceless heirloom. I highly recommend!
