Perfect for writing practice at home!
An amazing opportunity to teach young children the process of journaling, and to practice writing a little bit each day. The questions are great and really tap into the interests of young children. I bought this for my 5-year-old, and I think that this is definitely something that she will treasure and keep to show her own children. Highly recommend!

Great idea, but not impressed with questions
I really wanted to love this book. I love the idea of capturing my childâs young and imaginative mind frozen in a moment in time in this book. And when it came, I was immediately impressed with the quality and thickness of the cover on the pages. Iâve seen many reviews on this journal complementing the various questions, but for me I found my children and I were skipping a lot of them. For starters, I think when kids are young, there is such a range in their intellect. I would love it if this were somehow segregated a little by age or maybe by type of question (imaginative, sentimental, funny, etcâ¦). I was hoping to capture more of their favorite memories or favorite moments, or who their best friends are and what their favorite TV shows are or what their favorite things to do are or what their favorite meal is. I was hoping to have more of those questions filtered in. I donât mind silly questions every once in a while, but it seems like thatâs the way most of them were. They were questions about ancient civilizations and underwater mermaid castles and if they had four arms, what would they do? Itâs a good book. And Iâm sure for some people, itâs a great book. But for someone that wants to capture a more sentimental, meaningful memories, there are probably better options out there. Or you could do what I have been doing, and I have been writing my own questions for them to answer and folding it up and keeping it with the book.

Awesome!
This is so much fun! My son and I love it! He is 7… about to be 8….but I think it would be just fine for older kids… maybe a couple years younger.. but not much. I love that we will have this to look back at when he all grown up! 🙂

Excellent gift for kids who want to journal. It’s laid out as Day 1, Day 2… so they can use it whenever they want. Thought provoking questions that are great conversation starters. Will buy again as gifts.
