    Another Amazing Adventure
This is another amazing Finn adventure and is just delightful. Kids can totally relate and adults will enjoy reading it to their kids.

  3. Barbara Masuyama

    Fun and interactive
This book is so much fun. Very creative and interactive. My 5 year old grandson loves it. After reading the page about meatloaf, that’s what he wanted me to make him for dinner. It’s actually a series and I intend to buy the rest of the books.

    comedic turn the page gold
This book is on fire! Is hilarious and heartwarming while showing many different dolly around the world type options, it is enjoyable and had the kids wanting to continue flipping the page until the very end.

    Funny!
Our 6yr old sure thinks these books are quite funny! She really likes the interactivity and the silly frog Finn!

  6. Briana

    Hilarious
Fun to read as an adult to my kids. lolWe especially love the fun concept and the artwork. Our personal favorite is his little frog butt, because obviously frogs don’t have butts and so this makes it extra hilarious.

Not the spark we saw in the first Finn book
My daughter is four, and she really, really liked the Finn the Frog book “This book is perfect!” – we read it over and over, and she’d always get so into the interactive bits. Because of that, we ended up getting all the Finn books, including “This Book Is On Fire!”, hoping for more of that same fun. With this one, though, it just didn’t seem to click for her in the same way. She’s usually pretty focused with these kinds of books, but I noticed her starting to look around the room about halfway through this one. I think part of it might be that this story felt a little longer than the others, and maybe her attention just started to drift. The whole “book on fire” idea sounded like it would be really exciting, but it only really showed up as a main thing on a couple of pages. I was sort of expecting that to be woven in more, with more chances for her to “help” or react. She loved yelling about the messes in the other book, but the fire bit here didn’t seem to grab her imagination as much. It was over pretty quickly. The pictures are still nice and bright, definitely the Finn style we know. But the back-and-forth, the parts where she gets to be part of the story, just weren’t as strong for us this time. It makes me wonder a bit if sometimes the first book you read in a series just sets the bar so high, or if maybe some of the later ones don’t quite have that same initial magic. This one just didn’t end up being a go-to for us.Pros:It’s Finn the Frog, so the artwork is familiar and cheerful. The idea of Finn being a chef is a different setting.Cons:Felt a bit on the long side for my four-year-old; she got fidgety. The “fire” part of the interactive fun wasn’t as big a deal as we thought it would be.Didn’t hold her interest nearly as much as “This book is perfect!” did.

    Second Grader
My second grader really enjoyed this book. It was really funny and so did my kindergartener. We might use this book for a book project that requires a problem and then solution.

Similar to Andy Lee’s books.. very different and funny..

  12. Amazon Customer

The voice of Finn the frog is endearing. The author and illustrator have done an amazing job at pitching this book to young kids. It’s engaging, humorous with a takeaway thought. I thoroughly recommend checking out This Book is a Mistake after this book, as it is equally as good as being on fire!

  13. Amazon Customer

My students really enjoyed listening to this story. We had a lot of laughs over it and it has a great message in it!
