A very funny book that can give kids days of fun
âWould You Ratherâ is a great game book for kids, one that prompts them to think and have fun doing it. The writing and drawings are very clever and they capture and hold childrenâs interest. They will find the book to be filled with fun. It is one huge game. The book is filled with some 200 silly questions such as: âWould you rather be bitten by a vampire or a zombie?â And âWould you rather use shampoo to brush your teeth or toothpaste to wash your hair?â And âWould you rather have an extra arm or an extra leg?âThe book describes how the game is played. In essence, the game is best played by two or more kids and a third one who acts as a judge. Each kid gives an answer to the âWould you ratherâ questions and gives a reason for his or her choice â the funnier the better. The one who is judged to have given the most best answers is the winner.

Marvelous fun – and you’ll learn a lot about your kids (and spouse!) this way…
Our 7 year old daughter LOVES playing “Would You Rather” at any and every opportunity. She thinks it’s big fun, and we’ve played on our Alexa devices, via books and apps, and via made-up versions (which are often the most hilarious). I think it’s big fun too – and a surprisingly easy way to learn a LOT about those you are playing with, because the answers often reveal much more than people realize, particularly if you (like me) ask for a “why” with every answer…Sheryl Green’s version of our favorite game is a delight. She has created a scoring system that makes the whole adventure even more fun and brings in a competitive element that definitely appealed to our girl. The book is organized into four categories/sets of questions. From silly to gross to impossible choices, the questions are a great way to explore what your child is thinking, feeling, and questioning without any awkwardness or stilted conversation. And if you don’t want that extra insight, of course, you can simply play and take everything at face value…It’s a great way to have some interactive kid-adult fun that will lead to giggles, if nothing else, and that alone makes it worth the purchase price!Thank you to the author for my obligation-free review copy of this delightful book!

Can’t recommend it enough
SUCH a fun book! Even for adults! I ordered this to play with my nephews because they are always saying the craziest things and we love playing games together. We have been having so much fun visiting parts of this book when we zoom. Their laughter is so contagious and they really really laugh at these questions. The book has a ton of different questions, so you don’t run out quickly. Plus, sometimes we get to talking about the subject of one question or answer and we can go on forever discussing it, so it takes time to get through everything. This helps the kids to be creative in coming up with responses and also keeps their brains working while thinking about which they’d rather do. We all love this book and you can play by the instructions and keep points for the best answers, or just ask the questions and have them answer and discuss. The boys are 8 and 10 and are thrilled with this book, as am I in my early 40’s. I would even take this on a road trip with my friends and have just as much fun. Really can’t recommend it enough.

Kids got a kick out of this!
What parent doesn’t like finding a book that engages her kids to read and laugh!?! The 9, 7 and 5 year old have gotten a kick out of reading these “what ifs” or “rathers”. We set the book down for a few weeks and they like to go through it again.

A LOT of fun
We received an advance copy of this book / game for review. We played on family game night with our eleven year old and boy it was a lot of fun and easy to settle into. The “directions” are a little wordy. Basically one player is supposed to be designated Judge and award points for the best answer. We simply did a vote so that everyone could play, that seemed to work fine. We also played with our older kids at college via a family video call! SUPER FUN!! Lots of laughing and fun discussion. We will definitely play this often!!

It is fun for the kids and parents too
My 9 year old is throughly enjoying it. We got the Kindle version. She would take printouts of a few pages and play with her friends. She has done a couple of “would you rather” rounds with us too. It was fun and entertaining. She definitely likes to moderate while me and my wife are the participants. That gives her the opportunity to judge us. Lol.The book makes them think about different options and one of the friends become moderator to judge. Overall, an entertaining and learning book to have.

Cute idea but lacking somehow (I received an ARC from the publisher)
My boy and I had fun with doing a handful of these each night. Got a bit old though after about 20 pages he didn’t want to do any more. There are a lot of pages and some are quite clever but follow the same “would you rather” format. Ymmv but this is pretty good for a giggle but no reread value as it isn’t a story but just a collection. Enjoy!
