ARE YOU READY FOR A MONSTEROUS TREAT? Find out why the dark isn’t scary, it’s SWEET!

If you roared with laughter at the Amazon Best Seller Dinos Love Donuts, you’ll be SCREAMING for Monsters Love Brownies!
Monsters Love Brownies is the much-anticipated sequel to the smash hits Dinos Love Donuts and Unicorns Love Ice Cream that topped the charts for a reason: Readers said: “If Dragons Love Tacos was written by Dr. Seuss” and “THIS is the book that saved our bedtime routine. Goodnight Moon begone, my kids BEG to go to bed so they can read this!”

Monsters may love Brownies, but not as much as your kids will DEVOUR this HILARIOUS book again and again!
You’ll LOVE this book if you love…

✓ Modern, energetic, and edgy rhyme schemes – more like Encanto music from Disney or Fox In Sox by Dr. Seuss than it is like Goodnight Moon! A slight challenge to keep it interesting!

✓ Fantastic bedtime bribes that kids will want to read again and again (with a re-readable ~3 minute read time!)
✓ Bonus! Helps kids cope with a fear of the dark – with a fun explanation for why you’ll NEVER see a monster in your room!
✓ A wide range of vocabulary to help both younger and older readers expand their language skills
✓ Sparking a love of reading in even the most hesitant children!
✓ Silly and colorful art that will make you smile and laugh on every page

Mythical Feasts books are strongly endorsed by educators and speech pathologists. Influencer SpiffySpeech said:

🍩 They include song-like rhythm and rhyme, and are packed with alliteration. This makes them perfect for reaching phonological awareness (i.e., pre-reading) skills.🍨 The fact that these books become tongue-twisters when read quickly makes them ideal for working on speech sound generalization (i.e., have the student read aloud using their sounds!)🍩 Loaded with tier-two vocabulary and figures of speech, allowing kids to work on definitions, synonyms, and context clues.🍨 The plots take unexpected turns, so they can be used to work on making predictions (ex: What do you think might happen next?) and answering critical thinking questions (ex: Why do you think that?)🍩 The wide variety of mythical creatures and desserts can be used to work on comparing and contrasting (i.e., How are they alike? How are they different?)

Perfect for boys and girls ages 2-8 as a read-along book or for boys and girls ages 5+ for independent reading. Anyone who loves unicorns will enjoy it! And anyone who loves brownies will love the rhyming recipe for “Monsters’ Midnight Fright Brownie Bites” in the back.

Super imaginative, colorful, and fun . . . and definitely made me want to bake brownies.
Some picture book endings are so predictable they’re a bit boring to read, but I never could have guessed the ending on this one! I actually laughed out loud. I also love the page at the end bringing the readers’ attention to the challenges they overcame when reading the book. It is a great page even for my son, who isn’t reading yet, because he has only within the past two years or so been able to follow a narrative and focus on a story, and it’s good for him to hear that that’s a SKILL and he’s been growing in it. Yay, growth mindset! The only thing I wish was also included in the book was a brownie recipe at the end. Perhaps you can gift this to a kid in your life and include your own recipe!

    A great help for bedtime
As a perfect sequel to our ice cream-loving unicorns, my son was so excited to dive into this book! When I told him I had a new book for bedtime and I told him the title, he was super excited! He asked about our cute monsters and I was worried he would find it scary (he recently started saying bears were in the dark…) BUT we actually learn WHY monsters prefer the dark. Well, SPOILER, why they preferED the dark! This is a great story to help children be brave, that there are no scary monsters in their room. And how can you not identify with anyone who loves brownies??

    Fun, colorful, and unexpected
My kids LOVE Ben’s Magical Feasts series and always get so excited when a new one releases. Monsters Love Brownies might be their favorite so far. It’s bright, colorful, interactive, and really takes the readers on a wild ride. I was not expecting the plot twists halfway through, and the kids definitely weren’t either! While this is definitely a fun, silly book that any kid will love, it would be especially great for a kid worried about monsters in the closet, without being too preachy or too obvious. Looking forward to the next addition to the series!

    Cute Story, Unexpected Twist
Monsters Love Brownies is a cute story with an unexpected twist at the end. The story encourages children to try new things, even if at first they don’t think they’ll like it. For my own kiddos, I liked the one page Food for Thought at the end which has simple questions that parents can review with their kids to encourage them to think about what it’s like to try new things.

What a fun book! I loved how the book had several fun twists in it. Just when I thought I could tell what was about to happen, there was a fun surprise! The illustrations are really cute and well done as well. This book is sure to be a favorite for many!

A super fun read with an ending parents will appreciate
I’ve checked out the other two books in this series and this is probably our favorite so far. A really fun read with great rhymes and illustrations. And as a mom to a 3 and 4 yr old, love that it ends with why kids WONT find monsters in their rooms! 🙂

  9. Dash

My kids loved the book and all the illustrations in it. The book rhymes, giving rhythm to the story with some cute twists.
